Sheriff Visit

Our neighborhood group had a play date where the Deputy Sheriff of Williamson County came out to speak to our little ones about public safety, talking to strangers (good or bad), emergency calls and what to do if you are lost in a store and can't find your parents. Deputy Matt was awesome and so friendly to the children. He encouraged them all to ask questions and let them sit in his SHERIFF OF WILLIAMSON COUNTY car. He took pictures with all the kids and gave them a goodie bag with two different coloring books, a Sheriff's badge, a 911 sticker, crayons and an ink less fingerprinting/DNA kit for the parents (in case our precious child should be lost, the parent could give that to the police to help find the child - hopefully, we will never have to use it).

After the Sheriff visit, the kids all played "Duck, Duck, Goose" and had a great time.

It was a really great idea and thanks so much Michelle for setting it up for us. We thoroughly enjoyed it and having Officer Matt come out gave me so many thoughts as to what I need to talk to my own children about.
