This last Saturday, I had the pleasure of attending my friend Rachel's baby shower. She wanted to do a last luncheon since the baby will be born soon (less than three weeks) and it was fabulous! I had so much fun chatting and laughing with the girls, the food was good and the cheesecake was unbelievably great!
My friend, Liz, made a beautiful diaper cake and it sat on the table as the centerpiece throughout the whole meal. Even some of the staff came up and asked how she had done it because it looked like something out of a Martha Stewart catalog. Just gorgeous. (The first picture is mine at the restaurant and the second one is Rachel's when she got the cake home).
I ordered a lunch special mistakenly thinking that it would be small. Wrong! It was huge! And so was everyone else's order. I had the Tomato, Basil and Cheese Pizza with a Ceasar Salad and a Strawberry Lemonade. For dessert, I got the Pecan Caramel Turtle Cheesecake with a Double Espresso with cream. It was amazing! The cheesecake was huge with whipped cream on the side and a huge piece of iced chocolate frosting on the top, drizzled with caramel. My mouth is starting to water just thinking about it.
Please excuse the pictures, as they were taken with my camera phone. When I got to the shower, I realized that I had forgot my camera. I was so mad at myself! Walk out with anything else, but don't forget the camera! Well, my purse either because how else would I pay?
