Cooking with Friends and Tired Babies

Today, Austin and I went to my best friend Lisa's house to make for our families, Khubz Hashish (Fatayer Sabinikh) and Sfeeha (Fatayer Bil Lahem). Also known in English as Spinach Bread and Meat Pies. Being two Christian, American women married to two Arabs, we have so much in common. We had such fun talking and cooking and the kids enjoyed playing. Poor Danny had to go to school, so he didn't get to see his best friend Laith, but Austin had a great time. As soon as we got home, Austin joined his brother Danny in asking if we could go to Laith's house (something that Danny does almost every other day). They absolutely love it there!

As soon as we got home from picking Danny up from school, the kids were watching a little PBS and fell asleep on the couch. It was so precious.

Thanks Lisa for cooking with me and I SO look forward to next time! Kibbeh, yum yum! Kamal and the family are sure enjoying our cooking. I told you there would be none to freeze! Also thanks about pointing out that Picasa 3 has a collage feature. That saved me about 30-40 minutes in arranging and rearranging photos. So cool!
