Chocolate Pyscho Baby and Holding on for Dear Life!

This picture totally cracks me up! This was Austin at two and a half years old. He had been eating a fudge pop and got more on his face than in his mouth. The way his eyes were when he said "cheese" just made him look so funny. My baby!

The next picture was at Chuck E. Cheese about a month later. He looks so little on the back of the four-wheeler with Kamal. So cute!


And here are a couple of pictures of them getting out of the bath. They have been in underwear so long that I kind of forgot that there was a time when Danny was a "big boy in underwear" and Austin was still "the baby in diapers".


How does time fly and the kids grow up so fast? Danny has been helping around the house so much lately that I'm shocked that he is only 5. He asks to take out the trash, to clear and clean the table and the other day, he caught a mistake that I couldn't believe I had done (and I won't be telling Kamal about).

My error: I had made the dough for cinnamon rolls, set the bowl on top of a pot holder and put them in the oven to rise. When they were done rising, I removed the bowl but didn't take the pot holder out, for some reason. Then, I got ready to cook the cinnamon rolls and I preheated the oven to 400. I usually ALWAYS check in the oven before I start it but I forgot to this time.

Danny's catch: Danny came walking into the kitchen to get some water and was curious how far along the cinnamon rolls were coming. He turned on the light, peered into the oven and said "Mom, you forgot that thing in there!" I turned, looked at him for a second and then remembered the pot holder. There was no damage at all but still, I should have checked before I turned it on. I was so greatful that Danny came a lookin!
