Lakeline Metrorail and Zero Creations

This was our neighborhood playgroup's visit to the Lakeline Metrorail. The kids had so much fun learning about street and train safety. Our guide, Alyssa, showed the children how to purchase a ticket with the automated ticket counter, how to look both ways to cross the street in the crosswalk, how to climb the platform to catch the train, where to put your ticket in order to board the train and where to stand so you don't get your feet ran over by the train. She gave each of the kids a map, a hat and an awesome overview of train safety. They had so much fun. Thanks Michelle for lining that up. My kids learned a lot.

After the train visit, we went to Zero Creations with friends to get an ice cream. Again, the kids had a wonderful time. However, when we were getting ready to leave, Austin had climbed behind the refrigerator and when I went to get him, he was practically sleeping sitting up. Poor baby was so tired! I got him to the car where he instantly fell alseep.
