This book was wonderful and makes you think about what a little miscommunication can do to a good relationship. I was amazed by the tradition of footbinding and by what a tough life these people led. The author did a great job in researching her story and an even better job in writing it. I could relate to her characters and several times, I felt myself so emotionally touched. Great book.
