Poor Austin has been so sick the last couple of days. He has thrown up everyday since Saturday. At first, he just had a really bad cough and fever, but now, he can't seem to keep anything down. We have all been a little under the weather this winter season. It seems to come and go. I'm hoping that this illness will go away soon.
We had a nice Valentine's day today. The kids had a playdate at 10am this morning and exchanged valentines with friends and then at 4pm, they had another playdate and exchanged more valentines with friends. They came home and opened all of their valentines together. They had so much candy that I had to put it away (almost reminds me of Halloween). At both playdates, there were crafts for the kids and the parents. Here are a few pics of today's events and of the crafts that we did:
Kamal and I went out last night to avoid the Valentine's day crowd, because we all know that if you don't have a reservation on Valentine's, you're not getting in to eat! We went to Alamo Drafthouse for dinner and a movie (together at the same time!) and watched "Fools Gold." It was a great Valentine's movie because it was a cross between romantic comedy (for the girl) and action/adventure (for the guy). Both Kamal and I enjoyed it a lot. A few days ago, he brought me home a bouquet of mini carnations in all different, beautiful colors.
